Is there anyone else who doesn't particularly care what their ATAR score is any more? I spent most of this year worrying about it and working hard... But now I couldn't really care less if I got a 50. I kinda feel like if I don't get what I want then it will just mean that I get to do something else of a little while before I end up getting my law and arts degrees. It'd be a little adventure for a little while and I would experience something that I otherwise wouldn't have. Not that I don't want a good score, but for the past couple of weeks I've been thinking 'I really don't give a crap anymore and it doesn't particularly matter what happens.'

Anyway, just my thoughts. Good luck to you all, I know we've all tried hard here.

I still care, but definitely not as much as a few months ago. Can't change anything now :)

Just want the score for my course. I don't give a shit about anything else. If I get the score, ATAR has done its job...
About Philosophy

When I see a youth thus engaged,—the study appears to me to be in character, and becoming a man of liberal education, and him who neglects philosophy I regard as an inferior man, who will never aspire to anything great or noble. But if I see him continuing the study in later life, and not leaving off, I should like to beat him - Callicle

I just want to get into my course, the ATAR score, it's kinda redundant if I get my course, I'll just forget about in in a few years time

Best of luck to all the year 12s. Statistics show that not all of you will enter your desired course; but to make the best of any given scenario is one of the best traits you can have.

Good luck (and to year 11s and / or year 10s with 3/4s as well :) )

Rememer nobody really wanted the ATAR, they just want to get into the job of their choice.
‎"We divert our attention from disease and death as much as we can; and the slaughter-houses and indecencies without end on which our life is founded are huddled out of sight and never mentioned, so that the world we recognize officially in literature and in society is a poetic fiction far handsomer and cleaner and better than the world that really is."

I did an all-nighter last year and I won't be doing it again this year as there's no point. Man I thought Methods was a bitch, lots of people in my class struggled and got like approx. 10% on their SACs. I doubt that I'll even get a 25 for my SS. PS, my Methods teacher didn't give the results for our SACs half the time or most of the time for that matter.

I slept in until like...12pm when a monash lady gave me a call to tell me I had a scholarship, when I didn't even know what my score was.

Wowzees, a build up thread already?

Yeah, I'm dying to know, just so I'll know which courses I'm getting into.

Beyond that I'm not really fussed. I'll be flying in from overseas on the morning of results day so I might just stay awake out of pure nervousness.

TBH I'm more concerned about individual study scores than the ATAR.

Year 10 French Homework = Write an essay in French.
Write essay in English --> Put in Google Translate --> Put on paper.
Makes a fuckton of mistakes --> Still pass --> Win.

Year 10 Chinese Homework = Write a story in Chinese.

'One day <insert name> had a party. She/he invited Mary, Jack, David, Xiaoyun <insert about 20 names>, and her mum's brother's daughter.
They ate pizza, pasta, bread, milk, cheese, apples, sandwiches, oranges, mushrooms, cakes < insert every single food you can find in the textbook/dictionary>, penguin meat, bears and icecream.
They played basketball, football <insert every sport on the face of the earth> lacrosse, chess and video games.
Everyone was very happy. It was very fun! <Insert another sentence or two which includes the word 'very' to 1. Boost word count 2. EMPHASISE HOW AWESOME THE PARTY WAS in the hope that teacher will be blinded>
What a very wonderful day!'

WIN.
