Awesome! I signed up. Is it possible to do the diploma without first completing the certificates? Or do the cert IV in business admin without having first completed the cert III in business?

You CAN do the Cert IV without having done the CertIII, but you CANNOT go straight into doing the diploma, you are however available to get funding to do two programs i believe, e.g. i plan to do the diploma after i finish my CertIV and it's my understanding that it will be funded

Yeah I think I'll try to do the Diploma of Management. Otherwise I'll be the most unqualified CEO to ever live. I have no commerce/business training whatsoever!

Wait so the scholarship is for the Cert III, Cert IV AND Diploma??

Sounds good... think I'll look into it...

The scholarship's should last for a while, but once the government pulls funding from this program, you will have to pay around $4000 for the Cert IV, so it's quite ideal that you get in quickly

AN will endorse this program for as long as it is funded for you guys

Just a Q though: This won't affect VTAC courses will it? Because MBBS specifically requires you not to have commenced ANY tertiary studies since finishing year 12 - would these certificates/diploma count?

The MBBS course at Monash University Clayton Campus is only available to:

• current Year 12 students; or
• applicants who have completed VCE (or equivalent) within the previous two years and have not commenced tertiary studies.

I always imagined that line was there so you couldn't be in a Bachelor of Biomedicine for example and then re-apply after 1st year and then 2nd year, but I don't wanna risk it. Will find out the official word (if they get back to you first funkydunky just forward the email through to me too )

Because they took the trouble of splitting it into 2 dot points, I think we (2011 leavers) are classified as current year 12 students for MBBS admissions, so it shouldn't affect us. Can't hurt to call them and ask anyway though! I signed up too, well done on organizing the partnership

Yeah you can only complete the Cert IV and Diploma.
