I am a Year 9 student in a very good school. I am hoping to do Methods and Music Perf 1/2 in Year 10 and 3/4 Music Perf and 3/4 Methods in Year 11 as I am in the top 10% of my school's Math's and academic cohort. Do you think I could manage 3/4 Spesh Maths in Year 12? My other subjects are likely to be English, Physics and Indonesian/Bus Man. I am hoping to do Engineering in Uni. Please help me to choose my subjects. Thank you.

When I was in Year 9, I didn't know what the hell Specialist Maths is, I didn't give a shit what subjects I was going to do - go out and do what Year 9 kids do - you have ages till you have to make up your mind about what you want to do. Youmight not even want to do Engineering in 3 years time, and also, you won't have to choose your subjects for another year, just take it easy!

Lol I spent Year 9 reading novels til recess and taking the piss out of Romeo and Juliet. At one stage,  I had a screaming match with my Maths teacher when she was teaching inverse numbers because I thought she was saying "write the numbers in words" and only kept repeating "inverse" when I asked her if she literally wanted me to write it out. Gosh I was a prick.
Not to worry though - I'm still in the top 10% on my /Further/ Maths cohort!

In 2006, when I graduated, my "Goals for High School" was "Pass everything until VCE, then, pass that." Had the "S or N" attitude even back then - nice!

Off topic but VCE Physics is fun actually. My Spesh teacher couldnt solve the kinematic question and I asked the Physics teacher.
Later then I realised how great Physics was. And I got a big mistake for not doing it

No offence, but you don't do VCE physics (and despite what you have said, you probs don't want to either), motion is the only good part about it and that's because it is slightly mathsy

Back when I was in Year 9, I use to hang around Lumbridge in Runescape trying to sell fish and runes to people. I foolishly let my grandma have a go on my account (as you do). She got my character killed in the wilderness and I lost all my rune armour. #neverforget

EDIT: I was also part of the Year 9 beyblades club at school. I was so cool back in the day.

It's not about the score (and I openly admit I don't deserve a raw 40+ score for physics for what work I put in), it's about the experience. Honestly, I can't find a single positive aspect of my physics experience.
