The most obvious explanation that comes to my mind is that on the very right of a bell curve (or very left) because the data is so compact, one mark has the potential to make a significant difference. Because of the equal weightings, perpetual had that difference made twice over as she won out on both exams. One mark on the SAC grade might also mean less that on the exam grade, in terms of what %age of people it puts you ahead of. That being said, the discrepancy is interesting.

Thanks CB for your scores :)

@OlympianLegend If you are looking for SoM results to add to the list you are compiling I would suggest looking through the VCAA Results and ENTER discussion found here VCAA Results and ENTER as there are quite a few results you would be able to add

Oh, thanks man! Hadn't seen that  before, which is strange haha. Wow that would take me a long time. I'll think about this. I like the slower traffic that comes by people posting on this thread LOL

A generous offer. Finding them is simple enough, 2011 (and 2012 when it gets added) would be relevant - but adding them to the thread all at once would be some work. I might make it a task to put 5 in the thread every time I have nothing to do on the computer. Thanks for the offer, though :)

Edit: By the way, just like to take this opportunity to tell you that I've always loved the quote in your sig :)

accounting
exam 1: 171/180 , (151/180 A+ cutoff)
sacs: 196/200 raw (wot?) -> 199/200 scaled
exam 2: 180/180 (not 100% sure of cut-off, but its around 158/180)
ss 50

is the raw sac score the one that the school sends to vcaa? if so, i have no idea how i got 196 because i got 88 for u3 and 95 for u4. or does the school moderate them beforehand?

It is possible that the school has moderated your SAC marks before entering it into the system (unless you miscalculated but I trust you know what's up)

Thanks all for the scores :).

Edit: Especially thank you to GN2365. That set up made it so easy. Best Christmas present ever :')

Here are my GAs and study scores:

Psychology
GA1 - Exam 1: 75.5/90 (A+ cut-off 73/90)
GA2 - SACs: 199/200 (what the school gave me, not sure if this was scaled by VCAA or not)
GA3 - Exam 2: 84.5/90 (A+ cut-off 79.5/90)
SS: 45

Literature
GA1 - Unit 3 SACs: 88/100 (again, what the school gave me, possibly scaled up by VCAA)
GA2 - Unit 4 SACs: 93/100 (see above)
GA3 - Exam: Essay 1 - 18/20, Essay 2 - 18.5/20 = 36.5/40 (A+ cut-off 34.5/40)
SS: 43

Sorry to bump an old thread, but what would the following marks get for further:

SACS: Rank 1
Exam 1: 40/40
Exam 2: 56/60 and 58/60 (assuming cutoff ~51/60)
