I brought way too much stuff when I moved. It's important to remember that Canberra has shops, so you don't have to organise everything before you get there.

awww, but organising is fun. I've got a canberra box starting to take form, it's got a small steamer, coffee/tea pot, large plastic container (for storing rice and shit), large saucepan, alarm clock and a thermos thus far Most of this stuff I bought from vinnies only 5 minutes down the road, so I thought why not?

Anyone else taking up musical instruments?
I have 2 guitars and a keyboard that I really want to take...
That coupled with my desktop, bike, clothes and then other random shit means I'll be taking up lots of stuff.
I'll be driving up with my parents and then they'll leave me up there and drive back.

Yeah, just my guitar (no amp though lol). It'd be nice to have my keyboard with me but I prefer traveling light.

The accomodation portal lists a room number for me (in the section where application status is) now, under the heading "Room Reservation Details". So I'm assuming they've been sorted.

That's not excessive at all. I bought a kettle, a clothes drying rack (which is a pain in the arse to travel with), and a tonne of stationery, including a pencil sharpener shaped like a globe (which I have not used once). It is fun though!

That was just the beginning of what I am bringing; I have a list of stuff on excel, most of it is cooking things (I like cooking) and study stuff.
