Bachelor of Biomedical Science or Bachelor of Science with Biomedical major?

I am in my first year at UQ and I want to transfer next year (I'm currently in an Arts degree), to either a Bachelor of Biomedical Science or BS with Biomedical Science major. I'm not sure which one to choose. I want to go on to do post-grad medicine, so which one will be more advantageous? From my research, it seems that they are mostly the same but then why does Biomed have such a high atar compared to the BS? If they are the same, should I transfer to a BS because it will get me to post-grad quicker? Biomed is 4 years at UQ and BS is 3 years.
