Hello all,
As subject selection has opened recently for all starting university in 2016, the ASS at UniMelb have decided to open a thread where you can ask any and all questions pertaining to the actuarial major. Please feel free to ask whatever is on your mind, and your queries will be answered by an experienced current student of actuarial studies.

Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you at the University of Melbourne!

Hey all,

We're proud to present the 2016 edition of our Subject Review!

We began this initiative last year after witnessing the popularity of ATARNotes' own UniMelb Subject Reviews. Our Subject Review publication aims to shed light on the academic side of the actuarial degree, through the experiences of actuarial students themselves.
Over the year, we have expanded our contribution base and the number of subjects reviewed has grown from 17 to 29, covering all core undergraduate subjects, and several honours-year subjects.
For the first time, we have also included reviews for popular breadth/elective subjects amongst actuarial students, whether they are fillers that allow you to de-stress, or great complementary additions to your core subjects.

So to all incoming or current actuarial students, or even high-school students considering the actuarial degree, we encourage you to check out our Subject Review!

We are also constantly striving to improve as a society, so your feedback is most welcome :)

Hi h545,
glad to hear you're interested in joining the ASS, we are open for member registration all throughout the year so even if you aren't able to make it to any of the days, you will be able to join later on by contacting any of the representatives at uni. If you would like, you can also shoot me an email at [email protected] and I'll sign you up!

Look forward to meeting you,
ASS Representative
