GAMSAT Physics question

Hey  everyone,
So I'm most probably going to sit the GAMSAT for the first time next year and I had  questions about the physics component.
- I know that it says that the questions come from year 12 physics , but would first year Biomed physics cover everything (biomed at monash) ?
- If I do need to learn year 12 physics , do I have to  get a year 12 physics textbook to learn this stuff? what about Khanacademy ? ( I've seen a lot of people saying that this is enough, is this true? ) .This is given that I haven't done physics since like year 10. Which brings me to , when do you think I should start learning it ?
- Because the physics component is such a small percentage would it be worth spending so much time on learning it , or should I focus on the other sections?

Thank you  :)

In my opinion,  I feel like Biophysics will probably give you a solid foundation for the GAMSAT,  but it is always good to do some extra practice from textbooks and practice exams to get exposure to different types of questions. This will get you to know whether you will need extra practice on certain topics as well!

In my sitting last March,  I felt like there wasn't too many difficult physics questions (of course this is subjective though),  and the key to doing some of the questions were remembering a few formulae (F=ma,  the velocity and acceleration formulae,  V=IR, P=VI). I think there might be a couple of extra formulae that is assumed knowledge,  but those were the only ones I used last year.

Good luck!

Thank you so much for the reply, its great to hear advice from someone who has experienced it.  :)
One last question , would you say it would be worthwhile (that is , after I learn the physics content ) to do some year 12 physics papers ?

I would probably do practice GAMSAT papers/questions over year 12 Physics exams as they are two different types of questions. GAMSAT questions can be done without any prior knowledge of the topic,  as all the information that you need to answer the question is in the text. Year 12 exam questions will probably require some sort of study to answer the theory type questions.

That makes  sense , thank you very much :)
