hello humans
it's pretty much all in the title, but what kind of averages should i be getting to get:
90+
95+
99+
and 99.5+
if it'll help knowing what subjects I'm doing: methods, accounting, literature, chem and physics
i aim for 100% every test i go in anyway but i more often than not- don't get that high...
thankyou in advance :)

abc12345j has pretty much said it,
traditionally if your goal is to crack the 99 barrier you wanna hit 47 for each of your primary 4 with 40+ in your 5th and 6th and you should be safe in getting 99

good luck !!

okay, they vary slightly by year, but these are the ball park figures (for the primary 4) you should be aiming for:
90- 38-39.5 scaled subject scores
95- 40.5-42 scaled SS
98- 44-45 scaled SS
99- 46-46.5 (47 some years) scaled SS
99.5- 47.5-48 scaled SS

You should also seek to get "decent" increments as 5th/6th subjects (ideally at least 4.0s if you're aiming for 98+).

Well, just from light reading (and not having anything better to do on a Friday evening), assuming no LOTE, for a 90 ATAR you need around 70 scaled average, 95 ATAR a 76 average, 99 an 86 and for a 99.5, 90 across your subjects.

I've no idea how scores are scaled, but according to this: there's certain statistics for each scaled score - like for Chem you need to be in the top 2.6% of the state to get 90+ scaled, Specialist Maths top 5% for 90+- but maybe try the atarcalc if you want to know more legit scores.

Hey,
just wondering what an approximate atar would be:

Ancient History: 98%
Modern History: 97%
English: 97%
Methods: 91%
Chem: 85%
Specialist: 80%
