Teacher present - book ideas?

Hello! Currently looking for a book for my English teacher but I'm stumped at what to get her. She likes philosophical fiction and reads a lot so the popular/common ones are probably out. Any ideas?

Thank you for the recommendations!! Do you have any ideas of more contemporary works and ones with more 'creative edge', so to speak? She love novels that have unexpected plots which make you go 'omg - that's fucked up' - something like Euripides' Medea for instance.

As a non-book idea, our English class made a "study chart" with a motherhood statement for each student about our teacher, and then a written conclusion about her at the end. So if you can't get a book she will love, maybe consider something like this?
