A huntsman spider will literally hunt (and maybe forage). It doesn't make webs like most spiders.

A huntsman spider will literally hunt (and maybe forage). It doesn't make webs like most spiders.
And if one a large as your outstretched hand lands on your pillow (they love crawling around ceilings) when you are trying to get to sleep, it scares the shit out of you. And you don't go to sleep for a very very long time.

OMG. I have had one appear right next to my head while grabbing a jacket from my wardrobe. Severely unpleasant  :(

(I used to think it was just a decoration.) ;D

Actually a lot of animals use their ears for temperature regulation. Pretty sure (but unconfirmed) two key examples of this include lop-eared rabbits and fennec foxes.

Serena Williams has won 23 grand slams second to Margaret Court who has won 24 grand slams, the most women't singles Grand Slam titles.
