Hello !
Anyone knows what is English as an Additional language?  Is there any difference with English studies ?

The subjects I will be choosing are
Specialist maths
English as as additional language (this is a must here)
Economics
Accounting
Legal studies.

So far from what I know and what I've searched these days ,spec maths and economics scale well . So I'm confirmed to choose these .
Im now stuck at legal studies , psychology and chemistry .
I don't do well in the sciences but if I were to choose , chemistry is the best for me .
But if I were to choose between legal studies and psychology, which one should I choose ? as I think both are good for me . Anyone knows which one scales better ?
Any opinion on these two subjects ?

Heya :),
I'm in year 12 doing SACE (no longer doing VCE), and basically there's four types of English. English, EAL, literary studies and Essential English. The ''normal English'' was previously known as ''English Studies''. There is no exam but there are 8 assignments. 7 of them weigh 10% and the last one, which is a comparative analysis, weighs 30%. EAL is basically for people who have been in Australia for a short period of time (I think for about 6 years) and for International students. Its very similar to English. I think it is just a little easier to get a better mark in.
You're right, spec scales very well.  :o
I'm not sure about the exact scaling for psych and legal, but I'm guessing psych scales better because it is more content heavy than legal and ''harder'' subjects tend to scale better.
I hope that helps.

Hello! I'm currently doing SACE and it is already my 5th month doing SACE
I'm asking if anyone knows the minimum grades I need to get for my 5 subjects in order to get ATAR 80?
Currently, for my assessment marks, I got
A- for English as an Additional Language so my marks are basically 70% to 75% (for Assignment 1 (essay writing) and Assignment 2 (oral) )  I've already done two assignments for this subject.

Grade A for my accounting test which is 82% (Test 1)

92% and 73% (Test 1 and test 2) for Mathematical methods

58% for Economics (Test 1)

50% for Legal Studies (Test 1)

These are the current marks I have for the tests .
I really feel so demotivated due to my Econ and Legal marks.
Can anyone help me like can I still catch up in order to get at least ATAR 80 if I try to do better for my next tests and assignments ?
Plus, I don't get high marks for my other subjects too like Eng, Maths and Accounting 😭😭
