Deciding to enter a writing competition asking for the first 10,000 words of a novel isn't so bad. Deciding three days before the deadline isn't ideal. But when over 1,000 of those words still need major editing (ie one scene needs ripping up and completely rewriting to show something and I... don't know what to replace it with) before sending it in, it means I've got quite some work to do.
See you in three days, I guess.
(Yes, I should've looked closer at the contest earlier to discover the category I'm entering in even exists, which I didn't realise. I didn't think about entering this 'apprentice' category until yesterday.)

Today, a psychologist suggested to me being prepared for SACs or finishing assignments a week before the due date. I've tried being prepared three days before, but a week... this is going to be (I hope) a game-changer.

My EngLang teacher wrote my class a song with metalanguage in it, which was a nice start to my day.

I recently got Audible and gotta say, I've already shot through 2 books, and started a third. Having a catalogue of free books on top of the ones I have to use a credit or pay for is very dangerous.

Also book related > I'm currently number 30 in the library hold queue for a Colleen Hoover novel. I bet the public libraries are loving the surge of books on hold now that the book recommendation scene on tiktok has fully taken off 😂

It's not just booktok that's big on CoHo, but also bookstagram 😂

Just don't venture into book twitter, that place is the biggest hive of scum and villainy!

Three or four months ago my brother persuaded me to get the e-audiobook app for our library.  And it looks like I've already borrowed and listened to 29 audiobooks (some short dramatisations, some 20 hours+), and have a list of at least 100 more I'd like to get to at some point.  And it keeps growing...

Learned how to use hair wax this morning. Upgrading from hair oil which I used when my hair was shorter. Thinking of growing it long (maybe like Bucky Barnes).

Also, I have a Lit. exam to do today. Why am I wasting time here?

Triple post!

The upcoming labour day public holiday reminded me of this. Sucks to not be part of the riff raff.

Perks of being part of the riff raff: my siblings are also home so I can guarantee I shall not be getting much sewing done 😩
