Hello,
Does anyone know any examples in the media (2018- present) where teenspeak hasn't worked. Like an outgroup member was mocked for using it?

Thank you :)

This doesn't answer your question but there is no set rule that 'media' examples are the only ones that can be used. Students have been able to use anecdotal examples, and still do quite well, because of their analysis.

So you could use an example of an older family member or teacher who has failed to gain covert prestige with you through their use of teenslang/teenspeak.
