Hey ATAR Notes community,
I'm not exactly sure where to post this but I think that this post would be extremely important for people who are interested in my 'tutoring' services and the people who use my email -
[email protected] - to send me questions and their assignments for me to proofread and edit. A little while ago, I received an email from Instagram about the activity of an account that was not mine, so I reported it to Instagram and nothing happened. The account that I reported are using my email to "verify" their account as when I do try to verify my own account with my personal email, I keep getting the notification that my 'email in use - another account is using
[email protected]' which honestly terrifies me. At this point of time, I'm not sure a) how they got my email, b) how this actually happened, c) their intentions of using my email whether it may be malicious or not and d) if they can actually access and view my emails or not.
I have reported this account again and I am working with the Instagram team to resolve this issue. However, in the meantime, if you are interested in my 'tutoring services' such as editing and proofreading, or would just like to ask a question, please contact me via private messages on the ATAR Notes website, through the forums or my personal email:
[email protected]. I will be deactivating or deleting my original email if necessary for the safety and privacy for everyone who has contacted me via my original email. But I will keep every assignment, question, queries and concern sent to me via email backed up in my computer files.
Your safety is my priority.
If you do use my personal email -
[email protected] - please note that I used it for my unpublished blog where I had the persona of my favourite literary character, Alaska Young, from John Green's
Looking For Alaska. So please do not be alarmed if the name comes up as 'Alaska Young' as the reason above is why it is that way. I have just updated the name of the account to my actual name so it may take up to 24-48 hours for the change to take place.
Please stay safe and be kind,
Darcy Dillon.
