Hey!
I went and it was helpful. You got to have a one-on-one convo with some person and she was very helpful.

So did anyone else go?  :D

I thought it was really good.
All the lecturers and students I spoke to were great, very knowledge and enthusiastic.
Even some random Arts/Law student I met waiting for the plane back to Melbourne was really into it.

Problem is now I can't decided if I should do Arts/Music or Arts/Science. :(
See music looked good but also uber competitive (for flute at least) and I'm not that sure I really want to commit to a whole BMus anyway.
If I do BArts/BSci then I can major in Archaeology (Arts) and Biological Anthropology (Science) and
still do other subjects that interest me like Latin, French, Biology, Genetics etc.
However, I don't know if I can take music electives with BArts/BSci and my parents would like my to keep doing music.

And I can't decided which residential college to put as my first preference.
I really liked Burgmann but its really expensive. Ursula was alright and cheaper, but its reputation's a bit off putting.
Also considering Burtan & Garran, since it's cheap but I'm sure food will cost me heaps no matter what.

You can do some music electives outside a music degree (I was going to do a composition course), but not many - not instrumental ones, I'm pretty sure.

As for colleges, look into various scholarships. I have friends at Ursies who don't really like it there, so if you're a reasonably social person then bear that in mind... and B&G is a pretty nice place. However, they won't be letting in as many new students there as normal next year because they're rebuilding some wings.
