Master of International Relations

Is anyone currently at ANU able to give some feedback on this course? I'd love to do post-grad studies at ANU, and this is (most likely) the direction in which I am headed. I'm hoping to get into the Melbourne BA and major in International Studies, would the aforementioned course be a good step to take after finishing the BA?

Thanks.

Really?  According to Urban Disctionary, apparently it's Australian slang

Quote
Australian term, a collective description for any destination outside your local area, ie: far away
"Where does he live?"
"Out woop woop man"
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=woop%20woop

Oh, you're right!

According to Wikipedia ""Woop Woop" is an Australian colloquialism referring to a fictional location in the middle of nowhere"

So I must have thought it was a real town from hearing it around.

But @ Kendraaa

Why don't you wanna do ur couse @ Melb Uni, Monash or even RMIT, i think the first two offer it as an Arts Subject.

Also, you shouldn't look at Masters YET, you need a degree first :P

Love for Tasmania and their randomness:

Penguin
Nowhere Else
Paradise
Lulworth (lulzness)
Cuckoo
Boobyalla
Stonor
Styx
Cox Bight

And yeah... it's definitely Aussie slang... as in... "woop woop land"

Anywayz... random.

Go to ANU!
Reputable uni.
Try to bag yourself an accommodation scholarship tho, for cheapness living.

I am hoping to do exactly the same course as you next year at the same uni. You can do a Master of IS at Melbourne in one year if you have completed your undergrad with honours, so all up 5 years.
