I see where daniel. is coming from, and M@tty, I was about to start up a thread like u suggested

But when i went to the main board about technical discssion about results, there were several theeads which sorta had the title i would have used such as the one daniel suggested.

Too many of them are predictions, wish there was one where ACTUAL marks were posted.

Those are predictions, I was meaning a list of peoples actual scores and actual marks. Instead of predictions, a list of scores given by VCAA.

There are some VTAC publications on the VTAC website that provides real examples of actual scores and marks. Here's the link: http://www.vtac.edu.au/publications.html

Or else, just look at people's sig or past threads

Yeah but all in one place some kind of database, so we can see real situations rather than some textbook ones, (I know they are real) no need for people to put their names can be completely anonymous but to indicate to us what marks get you what study score (roughly).
No digging necessary.

And people generally do not put their exam scores in their signature.

In particular, look at these two publications:
-ABC of scaling
-Choosing VCE subjects

They just give letter grades.... I mean actual marks i.e. xx/yy
I still think it is a good idea.

yeah!!! It makes a whole difference knowing xx/yy
because an A or B is so vague! It could be a very high A or a low A.....it makes a very large difference
we should set 1 up!

Maybe we can just MAKE the thread, and people enter it themselves. And if we find anyone posting things like "what do I get or need to get this score" we delete those posts so it doesn't become like the thread "predict me some study scores".

It will be a simple, un-cluttered thread with people posting their scores as appears on their statement. And it will be useful when  you have like 10 different people getting a 40 for english or 41, yet have different marks on SACS and exam.

Actual numerical marks can only be obtained by Statement of Marks, which are purchased from VCAA for around $8 per subject, hence why not many people actually get them.

Most people, towards the end of year 12, stop caring that much about the results, and comes d-day, the ENTER itself is enough,  practically nothing can change it, and few reminisce over what exact score they got for the exams.

There won't be much data to collect, as there's not much going around.

There are quite a few going around for mid-year exams for A/A+ students, as they like to know if they're on track to getting that 40+.

Yeah, I think we can start with that... But it will be much easier if it can be organised into some kind of Table, maybe excel or something user friendly.
Also anonymity may be preferred by some.
Another thing SAC's marks will need to be the moderated ones, so basically an upload of SoM data.
I think it will take quite a while for data to come in, also it may be better if a moderator organizes it, I think a new board would be more convenient and organized as each subject will need a different thread.
Do we wait or do we ask(admin)??

I already typed this so i'll post.

Really people don't order their SoM??
Any data is useful......damn

Do you think there will be enough data to cover 40+??
