what do you think my chances are?

I'm wanting to transfer into Arts/Law from Professional Communication next year, and I know the entry requirements are the ATAR and distinction average, but what if my ATAR wasn't high enough and I don't maintain a D average? Am I totally screwed or do they provide leeway?

Thanks.

I would not expect you would be allowed to transfer if you don't meet the minimum requirements. If you are keen on doing law, you can always try transferring in later years or do it as a post-graduate student.

So they wouldn't care that I have already done Arts units, they would just look at my grades?
Could I try transferring into just the Bachelor of Laws (which has a less average needed) and then try to pick up Arts again in another semester?

You most definitely need at least a D average to transfer into law, because it's so highly competitive.

They only look at your grades I believe...

I'm pretty sure you still need a D average to transfer from law to arts/law. A D average in law is comparatively difficult, so you may have to be prepared to give up your arts altogether.

Okay, and do they look at the whole year you have already done or just the semester before?
