I live ~30 min bus ride from train lines :P

Hence, if I wanted to go to UoM I'd go via monash clayton xD

The line that has Huntingdale station on it is good, smart bus leaves every 15 mins, takes half hour to get there, then only 40 minutes once you actually get onto a train to go.
Public transport sucks.

The station I go to is about 2 minutes by car.  It takes me ~30 minutes to get to MC.

Hurstbridge! Maybe the only train line that still has a few sections of single-rail tracks?  Makes transport very unreliable during peak hours as we have to wait for the train going the opposite way to clear the tracks before we can proceed.

Hurstbridge to the city, then change at Parliament to one of those trains that go straight to Flinders (the ones on platform 3), then the Frankston/Cranbourne from Flinders. :)

Hurstbridge! Maybe the only train line that still has a few sections of single-rail tracks?  Makes transport very unreliable during peak hours as we have to wait for the train going the opposite way to clear the tracks before we can proceed.

That is so annoying (although it always seems as if the Epping line train that waits - I always see it standing still as my trains chogs past at a very slow pace). We also have stations the Hurstbridge line with only one platform (as well as single rail tracks). Time for an upgrade!
