Pretty good, pretty good. It's a lot of work, but I love it. How are you finding it? Where is your school up to in the course? I just had my Mind and Bodies sac last Friday.  Lord help me in understanding Hume and Locke in the Identity unit ;-;

Another philosophy kid here  ::)

We're finishing up with Minds and Bodies this week - we've had two short answer SACs so the next SAC is an essay. What did you guys do for contemporary debates? I'm doing animal consciousness.

What did you all think of the texts? I think I enjoyed Descartes' Meditations the most.

Ive actually been neglecting it for a bit, first philo sac is next term. We're a bit behind, still looking at Plaedo.

You've already had two philo sacs? Havent even had my first!

so far we've only studied descartes and currently plato. Of the two, I guess I prefer Plaedo so far.

Meditations was super good. I don't mind Armstrong, but there's a lot to pick on him about :P

Wow, really? We didn't end up getting through the last few pages of Armstrong (which is fine because it wasn't relevant to our SAC) and I thought we were behind. :P I do feel like we've rushed through things a bit though.

Hi there,
Philosophy person present  ;)

Our class just finished Armstrong and we've gotten the readings for Nagasena, so I guess we're kinda ahead of what others are doing? although not as much grindr- jeez your class must be racing ahead!
Have our SAC on Minds and Bodies soon. Anyone understand Phaedo lol?! Not sure when we're covering our contemporary debates hopefully they are not too far away. But I'm pretty excited- I got into Philosophy exactly for these sort of things (and of course the wisdom gained from the texts :P). My personal favourite would have to be Descartes with Armstrong very close behind. If Plato was like this, I cant wait for Aristotle.
Year 12 in 2016
Subjects:
English Language. Methods. Philosophy. Physics. Specialist.
ATAR: 95.55

Tell me about it, we're so far ahead we had to reschedule  our sac from this week to next term....

I'm looking forward to doing Armstrong! Sounds like a refreshing read from descartes and plato!

I've complete Unit 3 and I'm glad coz I got so annoyed by Hume and his bundles of perceptions, I was also annoyed by Nagasena's no-self theory. I do however much prefer metaphysics over ethics and such like this Good Life unit

Aristotle is awesome, I love his Virtue Ethics, remembered doing it in unit 2, can't wait to revisit it

meh I'm the opposite. Aristotle is killing me. I way prefer my good ol' Hume.
