MHS does not select its students (except for year 9 entry) using the entrance exam. The exam is meerly an indicator of whether or not you would fit in academically at the school. If students score above a certain threshold on the exam (its based on your agregate score NOT how many sups you get, but that being said, you should be above that threshold with around 1 or 2 sups), then their exam result becomes reduntant. From this point onwards, it is your written application and interview that dictates whether or not you get in. This is why superiors do not correlate with acceptance at mhs, its mostly determined by the quality of your written application, school reports, how enthusiastic you are in the interview (and the questions you ask them), and the leadership traits you show. Note though that it is not uncommon for the school to give late offers.
