Noob Question Alert

Hey guys,

My knowledge of subjects in uni and such is very small. Hence, I have a very silly question to ask.

If I do comm/law at Monash (or Comm - Deans Scholars or any commerce degree), is it possible for me to do any anatomy, physiology or biochemistry subjects as extra subjects?

Sorry for the noob question in advance.

Yes, as you have free units, and they must be filled up by electives.
And those electives can be things such as physiology and other
science related subjects, but u can't major on those science things.

you will be able to, even though Monash doens't have compulsory breadth, there will be blocks in which you are allowed to choose subjects out of your degree, you don't have to, but you're allowed to. the only thing i'm not sure of is the double degree.

one of the reasons why a comm/law degree is only 5 years is because those blocks are kind of taken out, so you only do comm subjects and law subjects, i think, hopefully someone can clarify.

however, if you don't get comm/law, i highly suggest comm/science, it's better than commerce alone, you can then do your biological subjects & maths...etc. all the sciences basically

Pretty sure you can't if you're doing a double degree for the reasons posted above - the whole reason the degree is shorter than taking both degrees separately is that it encroaches on your elective spots.

Take a look at the course plan: http://monash.edu/pubs/handbooks/courses/0546.html

Doesn't say anything about any electives from outside the faculties of B&Ec or Law.
