Today we had an assembly and were reminded that only graduates can leave the school grounds during the day....and then I remembered that I’m a graduate  ;D

Today we had an assembly premiering the appearance of a new principle only for her first words of address to a hall of 900 silent students to be "girls don't talk when I'm talking".

RIP to her

This may be a tactic to give a first impression of being a firm principle. I know atleast 2 teachers that were 'strict' for the first class and clearly set the tone that they weren't the type to be pushed around. They did loosen up later though (thankfully) but we still knew in the back of our heads not to mess with them .

Big question, what type of laptop was it? If it was a Mac, it probably deserved it!

To be honest, I like the hardware of a Mac, but I really hate their egocentric software. Meanwhile, I like the Windows software, but so many Windows computers have hardware really inferior to Apple.

I've only ever used a Mac once, during a design class in Yr 10. I found it pretty unintuitive to use. I have noticed heeapppss of Macs around uni students and at AN lectures haha

To be perfectly honest, I don't know enough to get involved in such technology debates. I didn't even know that there were non-Apple smartphones until 2013. I was shown a Galaxy S3 by a friend and I was suuuuuper impressed with it; it felt like the future! Funnily enough, I was gifted that exact phone a year later haha

As a mac user who found it difficult to use when I was introduced to it, it gets a lot more intuitive after you become used to it - around the first-year-of-using-it mark. As a former windows user, I have to say, for me, having experienced both, mac is waaay more intuitive and a lot easier to use. I don't play games or anything so the debate doesn't really apply to me when it comes to using which computer etc. If you use it for like internet browsing and reading and general school use, it's great and I'd highly recommend it for its reliability.

I sleep-talk often, and I sleep-walked the night before last. To my knowledge it's the first time I've done it (but who knows?), and I find the whole concept pretty scary.

While it is quite creepy because you don't know where you've been or what you have done, but the stories can actually be hilarious! I always do it when I go to someone else's house or sleep in a bed other than my own.

I once carefully placed a tissue box, a pillow, a bag and a pair of shoes beside the bathroom door. I don't know how many trips I took
