Eurovision winner was announced... Still not sure how I feel about Australia and Israel competing in a European singing competition.

I find it odd too, but apparently both countries are a part of the the European Broadcasting union (hence why the UK can still compete as well, after Brexit), and have to be invited each year. 😊

Yeahh, I had to read up about that.

I mean, it's great Australia and Israel can compete, but it opens up a new debate on whether Eurovision should let other countries compete, e.g. America. I've watched a number of 'Youtubers/Teens react to Eurovision' and the video is either filled with reactors saying that Eurovision should let America compete or cynical responses like "Wherever the US goes, we'll ruin everything."

If there's one thing I'm thankful for doing actuarial studies for 1.5 years, it's that I can visualise cash flows so easily now and the dreaded 2U financial maths problems have been trivialised for me.
