Sorry to hear that. I have a similar issue, and it greatly irritates me, so I feel your pain. I tend to sound worse the more stressed I get -- perhaps that's a factor for you.

I myself have a bit of a speech impediment, so I'm really careful with what I say -- sometimes rearranging my sentences to avoid certain words. I used to stutter, but not so much anymore. I can communicate fine, but it really stopped me from getting into debate competitions and sometimes meeting new people. I have a pretty deep voice too, and I've been told that can make me harder to understand too.

guys!! I relate to both of you SO hard. I have phases with my stutter whereby there are period where I don't struggle at all (or struggle rarely within a month) or periods where I have to rearrange a lot of my sentences because I get so nervous about messing up in front of someone else. Do you guys get that too?

Yeah, no doubt! :) Some periods are certainly worse than others. What type of sounds do you struggle with? Maybe it's consistent.

You know you're having the authentic student experience when essentially the only things left in your pantry are cereal and hoisin sauce...don't even have any 2 minute noodles left :'(

Is it good cereal?

P.S. Get oats; porridge is good for a meal at any time of day.

Everytime I buy oats, my younger siblings get to it before I do... 😢
Mainly because I forget about it 😂

You simply couldn't have a better breakfast. It's hard to forget when you wake up craving it. ;D

This reminds me of my second cousin, who was living out of home studying at Wollongong. Her sister had stayed over and posted a status that makes me laugh to this day:

Second Cousins' Sister: Staying with ________, which means my choices for dinner are 2 minute noodles and lettuce.
Second Cousin (Commenting): We're out of lettuce.

Despite having eaten lots of porridge in my life, I dislike it. Vita Brits ftw.

Vita Brits - definitely superior to Weetbix.

Milo cereal, so it's the best.
Not a fan of porridge unfortunately.

I identify with this on a spiritual level.

Still, not as good/bad (depending how you choose to see it) as a story I heard from my mum - her cousin had a housemate in uni that would only eat cabbage. It was legit, the only thing they ate. So the place stunk like cabbage - boiled cabbage, steamed cabbage, etc. and my mum's cousin ended up throwing out almost all the clothes he owned when he lived there because he couldn't get the smell of cabbage out hahah

Mmm, yes. Before my two 3/4 exams, I had muesli (not the crappy sugary one) with extra oats, blueberries, and a bit of honey. I am convinced it is responsible for half my study score.

I decided to sleep in today, being a Saturday. Noooope. I'm woken up at 9am by a deep rumbling sound. My brother just picked up his first motorbike, a loud AF 2011 Hyosung Aquila.

Maybe I'll sleep in next Saturday

Do you ever have a song stuck in your head, but it's a tiny snippet, and you don't actually remember lyrics, rather the tone of voice and tune and all that, so you have nothing to go by when you're searching for it?

Really struggling with this right now :P Plus it's a really chill alternative song so there's not a chance that I'm gonna hear it on the radio. Heard it in Myer the other day, and it was the first time I had heard it in ages and it hit me with nostalgia and a desire to listen to it but I can't for the life of me remember the song properly.

So now, I'm trawling through youtube trying to find it :P At least I know the channel it'll be on, so that's something I guess?

Yessss. It took me mooonths (almost a year) before I realised the riff stuck in my head was 'Brave New World' by Sepultura

Maybe you can post the tune and some musical genius will recognize it :P

I've had that experience too!!  ::)
I once heard a catchy song on the radio but couldn't make out the lyrics. After a about a year, I heard the same song on the TV. This time I had subtitles on and could read the lyrics!!! ;D
I googled them and it was "Can't get you out of my head"-Kylie Minogue

Or you could try this? :D
(Image removed from quote.)

That was Coldplay - Viva La Viva for me :D I heard it on a bus at first. Radio's everywhere.

It came down to a Simpsons episode where they had a mock band Coldplay on stage and played bits of the song. I googled coldplay and wala :D my curiosity was cured.
