Are you happy about that, PhoenixxFire? :)

Personally glad I had a school uniform, wouldn't have liked having free dress everyday.

I wasn't and if it had been a couple of years ago definitly no, but my school is mostly non judgemental about what people wear and I went shopping today. I would have preferred staying with the uniform but lots of people didn't want it and this was first proposed at the end of last year so I've got used to the idea.

It was a very sudden introduction though which I don't like. I think they should have started it at the beginning of headstart early December (which is always free dress) their reasoning was that they wanted more time for people to get used to it (ie enforce the dress code -the most relaxed one I've ever seen, it's basically no underwear showing (bra straps ok), no midriff and ohs things like no thongs.

I hate being told I'm funny, as then I feel like I have to say something witty in return...

Spoiler
if you were expecting a witticism here, i am afraid you were sorely mistaken

Went to a coffee shop I used to frequent often but haven't frequented regularly in many months. "Just the usual, Nick?"

Hmm.

#Random  thoughts

I don't get how any sports people are incredible. Sports people go through a lot , but so do a lot of other people.

They smashed boundaries or social norms? Well so did a lot of other people ^^.

I think sports people are kinda over glorified.

Just going back to this because I didn't respond properly at the time, and I assume it was largely directed at my calling Ellyse Perry incredible.

Saying that no sports people are incredible seems to be a pretty big generalisation to me.

To get to the highest level in anything, but specifically sport in this instance, is an admirable achievement. The required levels of dedication, perseverance and sheer skill are noteworthy in themselves. Professional athletes have put in countless hours to get to where they are today. Yeah, so have lawyers. So have teachers. So have tradespeople. So have doctors. So have engineers. I'm not saying they're not incredible; I'm just saying that I think Perry is. And not even directly due to her feats on the field, either.

"Sports people go through a lot, but so do a lot of other people." No doubt - seems pretty self-evident to me, but I'm not sure of the relevance. Like, the moon-landing was incredible. Is it less so because people other than those involved go through a lot? Not at all.

"They smashed boundaries or social norms? Well so did a lot of other people." I'm not following your point here. Like, if they smashed boundaries and social norms, that's great. In the case of Perry, she most certainly has. Perhaps (admittedly debatably) more than any other cricketer in the history of the game.

But when you consider she represented Australia at the age of 16 in two entirely independent sports, I think that's quite remarkable. It's the highest possible level for both sports. She was 16.

I'm the worst person at replying to texts and returning calls because I always forget and then I get caught up in what the acceptable window of time to reply is which stresses me out so I just don't

sometimes people beat me at my own game by replying at near exactly the amount of time I delayed in replying to them eg. 3 days +/- 2 hrs

why does this exist
why am I like this

I'm at work at the deli at the moment. I just had this lady who I got something for and turned around to pack it. I turned back and she'd moved and she said 'sorry I'm all over the shop' she...she was literally all over the shop like she had moved across the shop floor  :o
