A little confused about entry requirements

Hi All,

I finished VCE in 2015 and I'm looking at studying at Monash next year. I'm wanting to study Media Communication - I'm not a current Year 12 student so I've been looking at the entrance requirements for non-school leavers. I received a study score of 30 in English back in 2015, and looking at my documents this was scaled to a 27.64. So I'm pretty sure I meet the entry requirements on the English Study Score front. But doing some more digging I see mention of a minimum ATAR of 70 is also a requirement for entry to Monash. I achieved a terrible ATAR back then (I mean really bad) so I'm nowhere near a 70 ATAR - is all hope lost at getting a place in 2019 as a direct application?

Any help would be appreciated as I'm really wanting to study this course.

Have you considered entry pathways?

Otherwise, you could apply for Media and Communications at a different university and transfer to Monash after 1 year of study. :)
