Hard to talk shit on Kygrios after a win like that...

Hope he gets over Dimitrov and has a red hot crack at the second half of this draw.

Agree 100%. I think he has a bloody good chance against Dimitrov. Dimitrov won in similar circumstances (4 sets) but had the 40 degree heat to battle with too. I reckon he'll be exhausted by the time they meet.

P.S sidenote - I love how nobody has mentioned Tsonga's crowd outburst yet. It must be ok because it isn't Kyrgios  ::)

Mate I have massive respect for Kyrgios' tennis skills, but to be honest I have a minimal amount of respect for him as a person. I far prefer Federer's good attitude off and on court. I believe Bradman was known for similar good-naturedness, if anyone gets the comparison :P

I give criticism to anyone that deserves it.

How often has Tsonga been fined for bad behaviour or nearly got threatened to be suspended from the Open? He is full of class.  Same with Federer, Novak etc.

Yes, Kyrgios's recent behaviour has been better , but it will take time for him to build a new and better reputation for himself.

:P. No it ain't anti "person" bias.

Hmm dimitrov probably my 2nd fav player probably because he is a replica of federer especially early in his career. I don't have high hopes of dimitrov given the psychological disadvantage (lost a couple weeks ago in brisbane to kyrgios), dropping sets in the heat and the home crowd.

Do you guys just look at all the negative press about him as a person to form your own judgements or have you considered a more holistic view? Have you seen him or even heard of him dedicating his time to helping kids from disadvantaged backgrounds or his mission to start a school via the nick Kyrgios foundation to support them?

We give Kyrgios a load of shit for his tantrums, but we're all pretty lenient when it comes to our own mistakes I find. If we scouted our own deficiencies throughout the years, I reckon we could find way worse things that we've all done. It's like we've completely forgotten Federer when he was young (he threw many a tantrum back in the day, maybe not the same degree but have a Google). He turned out exceptionally well I reckon.

Additionally, why can't we just appreciate the strides of improvement he's making to better his mental state? When the "comedian" called "troicki"  to distract him intentionally I didn't see him throwing a tantrum.

Surely anyone paying attention knows Federer doesn’t have humility in his heart. He’s just good at playing the game (and I’m not talking about tennis). Nadal has genuine humility.

Was very impressed with Chung's win over Zverev (ASIAN REPRESENTATION  ;D ;D ;D ;D) - not too impressed with Sascha's racquet smash ahaha. Looking forward to how he shapes up against Djokovic!

Zverev must have been been almost dead with the heat to go out 6-0 in the final set, a prime example of a young guy almost literally wilting in the heat.
Great job by Chung though, really good game!
