I can tell you that you definitely don't need the book for MTH1030 and ENG1060. You'll buy lecture notes for MTH1030 which are really cheap and cover everything you need. ENG1060 puts lecture slides online so you can print them off at home if you want. You can do well with just the lecture notes, even if you've never done programming before

So don't bother getting the ENG1060 text?

And what about physics(PHS1011)/astrophysics (ASP1010)

The ENG1080 textbook is not needed, especially given you've done spesh already. I did this subject, turned up to lectures for the first few weeks only, collected lecture notes and read them, did all the assessments and pracs for it, never once looked at a book and I managed to easily get a 90+ score in it. It's really simple, especially the stuff on Mechanics/kinematics which is simpler than what you did in spesh

You buy the lecture notes from the uni bookstore. Some of them are available during O-Week whilst others are there during the first two weeks of classes.
