Wow, some of you guys timetable seem crazy with no breaks! Is it hard to go through the day gapless, do u get time to eat and stuff lol?

I mean like brendan's monday and Excalibur's tuesday timetable and a few other people. I was planning to keep like 1hr break after every 2hr lecture period or so. Is it bad, i have less hours.

Yeah, I just grab a quick bite to eat in between classes. It's not all that bad.

It's neither bad or good...breaks mean breathing space (and time to do work :P), but it would be preferable to get it all over and done with in one hit (as opposed to coming in ANOTHER day).

I think all the first years will be in the same group which will basically just be a series of lectures on how to do research with a few assignments thrown in there. I was told that first semester PhB is pretty much exactly like first semester BA. You don't get to do anything fun until semester 2.

And did your friend do one semester of uni before PhB? Because I met someone who did that. She was blonde, kind of short, umm I don't remember much else.
hmmm, could be her... well, emma's not übershort, but definitely blonde. she did arts/law in first semester last year and hated law so transferred into PhB arts second semester.

and wow, your ASC thingy is kinda weird. we don't have anything like that in science, we just get thrown into the deep end in second semester when we do our first proper ASC.

What did you do in the first semester of PhB science as far as ASCs go?

none whatsoever. most PhB science students don't do their first ASC til second semester, and some don't do one til second year. it just means that you have to catch up later on by either doing an ASC during the holidays (i did one over summer, for example), or doing two ASCs in one semester.

Semester 2 is here :D
(thank you Fyrefly!)

Much nicer than my semester 1, 3 hours less breaks if I recall correctly, and instead of finishing 3, 5, 5, 12, 4, it's now 5, 12, 4, 2, 2. How awesome :D
Only 1 clash too!!

Edit: Also, last semester, for 1/4 units I was in Nice Lecture Theatre Buildings, and for 3/4 I was in Old Forty Year Old Lecture Theatre Building. Now those numbers are reversed.
It seems 2nd year subjects get nicer places :)
