Milk tastes much better though

There's scientific support for milk so go for it - ceebs finding the journal articles to back it up, but a leader in sports nutrition (Stuart Phillips) has said he found better gains.

It's really not that hard to quantify..., but I believe that being raped once is not as bad as being raped five times, even if the one rape was by a gang of people.

I was working with milk for ages and i got really podgy... i consulted a fair bit and come to the conclusion that it may have been all the lactose in the milk making me podgy, so i swapped to mixing my protein with oats and water. made the oats taste great! plus then i lost all the fat :)

Water all the way.

I read somewhere that soy needs to be taken in huge amounts (like more than 2 litres a day) for there to be a significant effect on testosterone balance. That said whey protein > soy protein for other reasons (biological value etc.).

whey > soy also in terms of taste. soy protein gets so incredibly lumpy no matter how much stirring is involved and awful to swallow, from personal experiences. it was by musashi, do not recommend it whatsoever.

and @JellyDonut, soy gives you bitch tits? i wish.

I have milk cause I think water tastes putrid..
I understand your concern!  What I did for milk was 2 things :
Bring uht milk
Or
Put ice cold milk in a thermos,  by 4 pm its still cold and smells fine ;).

Water for on the go...since you can't really carry milk with you and you can just get water from the gym taps

Since I have milk every morning, I sometimes combine it with a protein shake...honestly it doesn't taste that great and I would rather water because milk takes forever to drink and also cleaning the shaker is annoying sometimes...

Well, water in Bazza's case is good imo. He wants to lose fat, yes? By using water instead of milk, he will be able to cut out that excess fat in his diet (mind you, keep up with natural fats i.e olive oil etc).
Also, he shouldn't worrying TOO much about gains when he's just starting out + it's VCE, you just wanan stay fit.

I could probably go on with all of this water vs milk crap but I ceebs lol. But ey man, it's just advice.

Given that it's reccomended you drink protein within 30 m after excercise, what if you're in the gym for ~90 minutes working different muscle groups? is it worth drinking a bit in the middle of a workout ?

Read this article: http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance_nutrition/the_top_10_post_workout_nutrition_myths

It explores pretty much everything that has been discussed here, and more, but with references and a distinct lack of broscience.
