It's actually a really cool process - the ice cream is frozen, then you dip it in batter - then you cook it for maybe 20 seconds, just until the batter on the outside has heated and cooked. This is done at really high temperatures, too.
And heck, I'm kind of scared and relieved at the same time haha, but I guess there's some excitement. :)
