Commonwealth games :P We get to win lots ;)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Commonwealth Games is for countries in the Commonwealth of Nations.
Commonwealth of Nations previously known as the British commonwealth formerly known as Prince The British Empire.

I mean, sure we won't ever use the word "girt" in our lives

I giggle on the inside every time it gets to that word. Hehe.

I actually wouldn't mind if our anthem was I Still Call Australia Home. I think it's a really pretty song.

I've always loved that song.  Never seen it as anthem material though.  Nonetheless, I think it owns Advance Australia Fair, and I'd be happy to have it as the National Anthem.  I don't think too many others would agree though.

This version with the Aboriginal language in it is awesome:

It would be an awesome way to pay tribute to the people of the land by having the opening of the anthem sung in their language.

Unfortunately this will never just happen on its own, because we need to break away from the Commonwealth (until this happens nothing's changing).  Then we will get a new flag + new anthem.

I can just imagine the flag.  A kangaroo, holden ute, VB stubie and cricket ball/footy in each corner on a green and gold background...

Edit:  Yes, I am implying that our country has zero culture. :P

On a serious note, what are peoples thoughts on making the Aboriginal flag our national flag?

I've been saying for years that we should change our national anthem to I Am Australian.

At first I wasn't sure, but now I also really like this idea.

I like the Adam Hills version
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TNCf0cwJsY

Compulsory Jimmy Barnes screaming at primary school Monday assemblies when the national anthem is played. Australia says yes.
