Hi Guys,
I am fairly new here and I have probably put this question in the wrong place but I would really appreciate some help with my subject selection. I am in year 10 and my subjects for next year are due soon. This year I have been studying biology 1/2 and haven’t enjoyed it very much and don't plan to take the 3/4. My school also offers a program called NHT which means you finish the 3/4 half through year 12. I was interested by this and decided to take NHT Methods (the only one they offer). So including methods the subjects I believe I am going to do next year is 1/2 Chem, 1/2 Physics, 1/2 Specialist, 1/2 E Lang and 2/3 Methods (because of Northern hemisphere timetable). The real question i have is what I should do as my sixth subject. I would also like to do a 3/4 next year to compliment the NHT Methods. So to keep in mind is the question I have is what subject I should do as a 3/4 in year 11 without a 1/2. Like I previously mentioned I have been doing 1/2 Bio this year and I have the option to do the 3/4 next year but I really don't enjoy it and don't wish to do three sciences. So I was curious to hear from you guys about what subject you think are easy to do as a 3/4 in year 11 without a 1/2 and subjects that will suit the subject I reallly enjoy which is maths science. The subjects that have interested me to take as a 3/4 next year is 3/4 Economics and 3/4 PE.
Is 3/4 Economics good to take without a 1/2 in year 11?
Is 3/4 PE good to take without a 1/2 in year 11?
Any other recommendations about good 3/4 subjects in year 11 that don’t need a 1/2 and are suited towards maths and science students?
Do I suck it up and do the asian five with bio as my 3/4 next year even though I don't really enjoy it?
Do I even need to do a 3/4 next year given I am doing NHT Methods?
P.S. It is important to note my school doesn’t offer a whole heap of 3/4 in year a 11 and the only other ones I could potentially see myself taking is Business Management, Geography, Global politics and Legal studies.
Thanks so much Toby
