Can anyone explain how you get 10.D ?

If you expand the brakcets out, i think you get ZZbar = 4
which is in the form of a circle of radius rt(4)

Or realise none of the others aren't circles.
And if they were, they had the incorrect radius :)

Use the calculator (let z = x + iy), find which expression is equivalent to x^2 + y^2 = 4

How can you be so sure the slope fields are zero? they could very well be undefined, thus ruling out 3/5 choices

Doesn't really matter, As value of V increases (go up V axis), the slope becomes steeper. So |dV/dt| is proportional to V, rather than inversely proprotional

I did MC in 14 minutes and got 20/22 according to kyzoo, and 19/22 according to itute.

I trust kyzoo more :D

I <3 the elimination by similarity method, I reckon I could get above 50% on any subject multiple choice with it :P

I got thrown off by question 11, because it's in slope field form, with the Y axis being the function, rather than the derivative (V, instead of dv/dt).
Still not sure about the answer though ., .

Isn't it always like that?
Slope fields show the shape of the actual function if you "join the dots" so to speak.

For question 11, I let k= 0.002 to see the slope of the graphs on CAS
I'm feeling pretty bad atm..
lost one mark on MC for that "find the imaginary part of z". I put i/2  :(
How many marks do you think i'd loose for the substitution question? I integrated the differential equation and I thought the substitution came in when i substituted the k value to prove it equalled the given equation... :(
Also...when they asked for what k value is the population constant, i've seen many people give the answer k=0.004, however, i gave k=0...would this still be okay? =|

When did they ask for when the population is constant? :S
I don't remember answering anything like that..

The k=-0.004 thing was asking what value of k would satisfy P=25500, when t=12?

hmm, 4 wrong. Might be 3 actually because I guessed 22 but don't remember whether I put D. I did better than I thought :)
