Cleaning out old hard drives and I came across uni maths stuff. They're probably up on your MAT1055 Blackboard though? But anyway, see links attached. Hope you've got the question PDFs to these.

MAT1055:
2008 by Mao

MAT1085:
2002 1.44MB
2003 1.99MB
2006 12.72MB
2007 16.01MB

Tip: obviously you should print them out and take them into the exam or condense them in your own way so you have what you're looking for neatly organised.

Oh crap, you're right, they are too. My bad for naming them incorrectly. I don't think I saved any 1055 ones then sorry. Ah such a bummer I thought I was being resourceful. 2008 above is correct though and the paper can be found here: http://examspdf.lib.monash.edu.au/pdf/2008/04131428.pdf.

For the papers without answers:
http://exams.lib.monash.edu.au/vwebv/search?searchArg1=mat1055&argType1=all&searchCode1=TKEY&combine2=and&searchArg2=&argType2=all&searchCode2=TKEY&recCount=20&searchType=2&page.search.search.button=Search

You can email your tutor regarding answers and he/she will probably put them up? Depending on where you're doing enhancement maths and who you have though.

np, bugger that 1055 I actually thought I saved it all.

It's open book so it should be easy lol. You could even bring in ten calculators/textbooks (not that it's needed - seems like a hindrance actually) if you're paranoid about batteries running out/books catching on fire. Just remember your seat number which I unfortunately didn't for MAT1055 two years ago (OH WHAT THE HELL TIME WENT FAST). Anyhow, good luck for it, you've still got a day to cram more in if you haven't already :P. In uni time, one day is a lot of time for hardcore studying and could change a C to a HD.

it's less mid-year and more end of unit exams. so thi exam is for MTH1055 and the next one (at the end of the year) will be for MTH1085. so in that respect it is not a mid year.

so what did you think?

I thought it was harder than previous exams, although that may just be the exams conditions.

I managed to do everything, and am hoping for a good score (fingers crossed)

there was much less choice, I think that 3 questions didn't have the choice for the last 2 parts.

I died too, It was kinda unexpected in the sense that it wasn't that similar to past exams (yet is was very similar)

I guess I just didn't study enough.

WRT to the fundamental theorem of calculus, That was probably the easiest question (no offence)

The theorem is simply along the lines of if you integrate, the deriviative of the answer is the thing you integrated (or the other way around)

either way the answer was the thing that you had to integrate
