Eng Lang Metalanguage Terms in Study Design

Hi everyone!

I'm doing Eng Lang 3/4 this year and was beginning to work on my metalanguage definitions. Whilst looking through the old slides from Units 1/2, I saw transitive and intransitive verbs, as well as a bunch of other terms that weren't mentioned in the Study Design for Eng Lang. I was wondering if anyone knew if we still needed to know those metalanguage terms for Eng Lang Units 3/4, especially if they are needed in the exam?  :o

Thanks!  :)

I feel like anything thats not on the study design is not essential to learn at all. I knew what a transitive verb was last year but i never used it once. Using the metalanguage written in the study design is enough and probably better (what if in a section a you used non-study design metalanguage and they marked you down because they didn't know exactly what you meant.)
