Bonjour! Time really does fly. Kind of miss being in year 10.
What hasn't happened from the last post.
The Uni-subject was such an amazing opportunity, it really helped not only to get credit but also to realise the... big picture, if pathology really was for me. There were people from all over the world really, full-time students, medicine aspirants. Also, the course was absolutely packed, there were like a few lectures a week, with like 40ish power points slides. I put a lot of unnecessary effort in which is why I passed with 68%, I will take that. However, this really had an impact on my grades, I averaged a B on Science subjects, especially writing those SE's and RI's, what even are those SE's.
Therefore, although it was nice, I only ended up doing it for a semester, and now I am doing Philosophy and Reasoning . It's pretty boring and dull to put it simply, we are learning about logic, hopefully it gets better in Unit 2 when we learn about 'Reason in Philosophy'. Also another thing, I was offered a scholarship from UQ, for which one of its benefit is that it gives 5 bonus ATAR adjustment points, which is pretty... INSANE.
My opinion, but if you're reading this and in year 10... Explore everything! Do everything! Enjoy this time! It's honestly one of those years where you should take every opportunity you get. For me I regret not doing a sport, I like playing Volleyball, and I think I am pretty decent but for some reason I didn't. Not saying that I can't do it right now, but it's relatively harder, as you have so many other variables in the way.
Moreover, recently just got my grades for some FIA1's, and they're not bad. I expected lot worse because the jump from Year 10 to Year 11 apparently drops like a whole grade or something but happy that hasn't happened to me yet, I guess.
Physics
Data test, it was about: Heating Processes, Ionising radiation and nuclear reactions. Got 19/20, pretty happy, never ever I though I would get that honestly.
Chemistry
This data test, was an eye-opener. I was pretty disappointed, I made the most stupidest mistakes ever, like not rounding to two d.p, not reading the periodic table properly to see which element has an atomic mass closer to 58.4, I got Co (Like what is wrong with me ARGH), and these questions costed my a total of 4 marks. Pretty disgusted, hope I can learn from it. So got 16/20
English
I usually hate English, but this term it wasn't bad I guess. For me English is like a dice roll, some times I would put the same amount of effort and end up getting highly different marks, it's weird, never understood why. This time I got 23/25.
Specialist Math
OK, the assignment was on topic 1, combinatorics. It's pretty straight forward, got 19/20. Pretty happy, and I really hope I can keep this up.
Right now, I am trying to consistently change, modify and edit my study schedule, with a effective way to measure how much effort or hours I have put on a certain subject. I have also realised that it also reduces the amount of procrastination I do, which is such a GREAT accomplishment for me. That's because one Anime episode is all it takes for me to start procrastinating and the next thing you know, 'Shit it's 3am', and your assignment is due the following week.
Anyways, I thanks very much for reading this far, I should start studying for Philosophy exam Friday.
Peace!
