Afternoon to the wonderful world of the ATAR Notes forum!
My name is unusual_australian, although I hope our Year 12 journey is a little more usual than the Class of 2020 received. If you haven’t picked it up, I’m entering my final year of High School, full of excitement, expectation, angst and a sense of confidence (although I haven’t decided if it’s unfounded yet or not).
My Subjects are on my signature (is that what you call it?) but I will outline them anyway. They include:
English,
Further Mathematics,
Economics,
Global Politics,
Religion & Society.
I have high and lofty goals of an ATAR in the mid (but hopefully high) 90s. Whether that target is right or too high I’m not sure, but I’m going to give it my all and what’s the sports reference? ‘Leave it all out on the field’
Rough Study Score Goal ‘guides’ are
English: 41+
Further Mathematics: 42+
Economics: 46+
Global Politics: 45+
Religion & Society: 37+
Whether I’ll look back at these in less than a year and laugh or cry (either the happy or sad types) remains to be seen. No matter what happens, I will have a sense of fulfilment. I haven’t had a full school year since Year 8. I developed Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) in the Year 9 Semester break and missed the rest of that year along with all of Year 10. Year 11 was a much better year academically and socially, but with COVID lockdown interference, I’m untested against the full school year at school, not to mention it being Year 12. So to even pass Year 12 will be a miracle on its own.
I had expectations at the beginning of the Holidays to go above and beyond and do everything I physically and mentally can in preparation. Of course this was an unrealistic dream, perhaps created during the highs of good Year 11 exam results. Instead I’m in the process of almost finishing what is needed to be done, and then perhaps go over and do bits and pieces before Monday comes swinging around. One week to go!
P.S. Sorry about the excessive commas!
