From personal experience, doing specialist maths has really helped me put methods on easy drive.
I know its different to different people but from my experience it's one piece of advice that I can give you.
Of course the two subjects aren't identical, but I just realized today that a lot of what's on the methods exam is fine-tuned in specialist.
If you have a grip on specialist; probability is the only thing you have to study for methods IMO.
IMO, call it an epiphany or whatever but it just came to me now, so don't hate.
Of course this thread is directed at those on the fence, and you learn a lot more in specialist; I reckon. It's not as daunting as people make it seem out to be, it's rather enjoyable.
