Hey everyone. How many marks can you lose in the Physics exam (out of 150) to get a 50? I'm pretty sure I'm rank 1...
2015: VCE
2016: BCivEng(Hons)/BCom at MU

I wouldn't want to lose more than 2 marks if I was going for a 50

How are you tracking in your practice exams?

Hi everyone!

Further Maths
Rank 7 (Cohort strong at the top 10 or so, but somewhat weak after that).
My SAC average is around 87.25%.

If I somehow managed to get full marks on both exams, or dropped only 1 mark, what would be my max SS?

I know expecting full marks is unreasonable, especially after my average and ranking, but I am trying very hard and my average only dropped because of one VERY bad and tired morning, so I understand the risks associated with overestimating myself.

Thanks!
2015: Further Maths [ 42 ]
2016: English [  ] Biology [  ] Chemistry [  ]
         Mathematical Methods [  ]  Specialist Mathematics [  ]

From the five full exams I've done: 68% --> 72% --> 75% --> 78% --> 87%

I know this isn't the form of a 50 student...however, I do feel that if I keep going like this I can do kinda well. I think I'm at that point where now I've seen nearly every type question, and it is just really dumb mistakes at the moment.

It's weird because I used to be really bad at Physics...now I need to work on Methods, English and Further!

Okay...so here we go...

- I stopped making notes and chapter summaries. Those did nothing. I did that for my Motion SAC, and I ended up getting 57%, then some time later for Electric Power, I got 94% by doing paper after paper.

- I analyse all my mistakes. I do the questions again in a different color, and if I'm still not sure about it, on the cheat sheet it goes! Actually, even if I'm just a bit unsure, I put it on my cheat sheet.

- I put heaps of questions on my cheat sheet, like HEAPS. A quarter of my sheet are module summaries with the formulae. The rest are just random questions that I struggle with.

- I've put model answers on all my sheets. Eg. Youngs DSE, Split Ring vs Slip Rings. Put something down on X-Ray Photons vs Electrons...it's bound to turn up somewhere...

- I've got all my derived formulae on there

- I've done HEAPS of questions...heaps of exams (UNIT 3/4 spilt). How many papers have you done? How are you going in terms of marks?

That's about it...if you want anything more specific, I might be able to help you with that. If people want to see my cheat sheet, I might post a picture up on the Physics forum. I know this isn't 50 material, but I need a really good score to boost me up. As I'm doing really bad at Methods, Physics looks like the one. Anyway, if you need any help...ask me...or anyone...

Just work on it and you'll be fine...there's plenty of time till the Physics exam. I dragged myself up from like 50ish%, it can be done!

Hi all! I'd REALLY appreciate a study score prediction for Psychology if anyone could please give me one!

- Unit 3 (Worth 20%) = 80/100
- Unit 4 (Worth 20%) = 90/100
- Exam Prediction (Worth 60%) = 85-90% [From practice exams]

I believe I'm rank 2 for unit 3 and rank 1 for unit 4 in a relatively average cohort of 10 students.
My school's average study score is literally 30, however in previous years, my teachers SACs have been marked up by a couple of marks (because he is a hard marker).

Is this enough for a 40?

Thanks!!!!

According to last year
Unit 3= Mid B
Unit 4= High B+
Exam= A+
Your sacs should moderate up, giving you around 40-43
