Year 11 Scaling

Howdy,
This year I'm completing Maths Methods CAS and IT Applications in Year 11.
I was told that the scaling (up / down) would not be calculated based on my exam results for this year, but in fact, the scaling for my raw score would be done next year, based on the 2011 IT and Maths students.

Is this true? and if so, how is that fair, if my 2010 exam results are compared to those doing the 2011 exam.

If possible, could you please refer me to the relevant VCAA documentation (as I couldn't find anything myself)

Common sense. Look at the guys doing Methods complain how hard 2010 exam was in comparison to 2009. Would it make sense for your scaling to be of the next years when the exams are different?...I think not.

The scores you'll receive on results day will be round numbers ie 37,42,48 etc
It's only in calculating the enter that scores are scaled, so whilst you'll receive raw scores this year, those subjects will be scaled against the 2010 standards for the enter, and your 2011 subjects scaled against next years standards.

You only get told your raw scores this year, but they are, in fact, also subjected to the scaling from this year.
