the CAS is VERY and i stress VERY important in methods, you have to be very proficient when using it, most of the exam 2 is structured around the CAS.
- Multiple Choice is basically 70% just using your CAS to get the answer
- Extended Questions are still very CAS intensive, because sometimes you need it to do mechanical things, eg expanding, simplifying, factorising but you also need the CAS for other things, such as integrals, that can't be done by hand
Most of the CAS knowledge comes from experience, so when you do exercises, get out the CAS and actually use it, i know people who are hesitant to use the CAS, thinking its better to do it by hand, but its not, try to have a balance between CAS-ing and doing stuff by hand - thats how i built up my knowledge of the CAS
apart from that i havent really had any books that are cas specific, just some tinkering and that will help you i guess
