Do we have to show all working out to obtain that 1 mark?

Surely the answer is sufficient enough..:)

Show working out though man, they'll give you some marks for it, let it be a third or whatever. It's best to show the working out for all questions, regardless. So my teacher says.

fail teacher. For one mark questions, the answer is sufficient enough
Don't bother wasting your time showing working out for 1 mark answers. Unless it's those sacs where you have to show working out to earn 1 mark.

[Edit]: oh hi there chairmanmao  :)

Don't do extra workings.  It is a waste of time, and one thing I have learnt is the more your write, the more chance you have of writing something wrong.

i.e.  Say you copy out the equation as part of your workings.  You could copy it out wrong, then type this into your calc, and everything will be screwed.  Just keep things simple...

its sweet.  i myself was reminded of this last week. i unnecessarily factorised something in a methods prac exam, missed a number, and hence my answer was wrong, even though the unfactorised part before it was right. :(
