Well, all the other unis on this board seem to have some kind of roll call, so I guess this one should have one too. All you have to do is say what course you'll be starting this year, and if you already know, what you want to major in. I'll keep an updated list in the OP so people can easily see who's doing what and also find people with similar interests in majors.

I'm doing Commerce. I'll be going to the 9-10 am course info session next Tuesday. I don't know what I'm going to major in, or what subjects I'm going to do this year, so I'll be in Copland Theatre from 2-4 pm (might run into some toilet issues, but that's the plan).

Commerce wooo.

Haha I'm going to the 10-11am course info session on tuesday cause my surname begins with 'M'... too bad.

With regards to majors... I've pretty much narrowed down to either Economics, Finance or Accounting or a mixture of afew of them. I'm going to be doing subjects that allow accounting accreditation so if thats what I chose to do I'll be able to. But yeah, nothing concrete yet so don't bother putting me down for a major yet haha.

Pretty pumped for uni.

They're not strict on which session time you choose. I don't think I went to my allotted session time last year. All you do is grab a booklet that's handed out which has a time and place where you'll meet someone to help you select your subjects.

Do all the booklets have the same info (ie, even if I go to the M-Z one, I'll be able to find out when my appointment is)? I'm not much of a morning person.

Also, I did the online part of enrolment, and when I look in my student portal, I already have a bunch of subjects listed. Is this normal?

I'm doing Arts majoring in Psychology and History.

I'm pumped for Academic advice day. Should be good. I think my course info session is at 11am.

When we've selected our subjects, do we enter them ourselves or does the adviser enter them for you?

I haven't done the online thing yet... but are these subjects the compulsary ones??

Yeah it says on the paper with your details that you're only meant to go up to step 5. I was just wondering why it already put a bunch of accounting subjects in there already. Also, did people fill out that yellow sheet with receipt numbers? I got a bit excited and totally forgot about it.

Nick:
"if you are required to meet with a student adviser, your student adviser may enter your subjects and confirm your enrolment on the spot, or will direct you to a computer lab where you can add the subjects yourself. For most students, this step is usually completed after AAD, however if you are a rural or interstate student then you will have the opportunity to meet with a student adviser on AAD."

revel: it has the compulsory 3 (micro, macro, and quantitative methods), but it also has some others.

I believe you can enter your subjects online yourself after the AAD.

Yeah I was thinking you could as well. Does it generate your timetable immediately after you've entered the subjects?

Wait, we don't get to choose which lectures/tutorials we go to?
