How do scholarship offers work?

Monash offered a scholarship but it's not my first preference so do I have to change around my VTAC preferences to fufill the scholarship requirements or does accepting the scholarship override my first preference automatically?

You'll need to make the change via VTAC and put the course the scholarship is for as your #1 so you actually receive the offer (assuming it's the course you actually want?). VTAC only gives you the highest preference in your list where an offer is made - the rest (regardless of whether given an offer not) are hidden, so you won't know.

I'd check with the uni though for 100% confirmation.
