« on: June 09, 2009, 09:51:06 pm »
ok, just say unit 3 was a complete shocker in terms of marks & you averaged a 60% or less over the unit, what if you get high 70's in your unit 4 sacs what are the chances of gettin a 37 - 40 as a study score? & what is a 37 in average marks? ???

Extremely Low, if you got 60% on your exam then getting a 40 study score is EXTREMELY difficult.

you can't compare the two, they both go to different school and different class average... So its all different..
But if your class average is fucken great! and there are people in your class that expected to get 45+.
Then this will give you more hope den getting a good score

Its all about the 2 exams, get A's or A+'s on the exams and you'll get your 37-40.

Let's say

School A (smart):
Unit 3 Exam:82/90
SAC:170/200 -> 192/200
Unit 4 Exam:85/90

Expected SS:45

School B (not so smart):
Unit 3 Exam:82/90
SAC:170/200 -> 162/200
Unit 4 Exam:85/90

Expected SS:38

...based on 08 stats

Wouldn't the SAC scores go up considering the exam performance?
or is SAC scaling simply based on your cohort as a whole?

Should be based on both, but if your exam performance is significantly better than your sacs, they should get boosted.

So does that mean that you will have a better chance at getting a higher score if your whole school does well?
