its a 21-30 from memory.
...BUT

Q. If the wheels on the front go till 40000Km for eg.
Then, we'd have to change to the rear ones. I.e now they can go till 600000Km.

However, those wheels on the rear have also already run 40000Km, and when they are placed on the front
they cannot create a futher distance of travel?
So, they can is on halt? I.e D?

Help lol, any justified answers

I agree with zzdfa

Assign each tyre HP of 1

Each kilometre at front will take off 1/40k and each at back will take off 1/60k

let x = kilometres tyre spends at front until change
let y - x = kilometres tyre spends at back until change where y will tell you how long the tyres last

Create two equations for each pair of tyres (front --> back and back --> front). Solve simultaneously for x and y. You get y = 48000.

Our year 11 3/4 Methods class is pretty much forced to do this.  :p

TrueTears, how many prizes does Scotch get every year on average?  I'm interested in comparing, since Scotch is reputably the better maths/science school between itself and MGS...

Hmmm, I'm not quite sure because I didn't do it last year due to sickness, but the year before I think around 6 - 8 people got it.

It was quite hard! The fill in the numbers bit was hard. The reciprical question drove me insane, and so did the train station one.. And, that ascending number one. Was there an easy way to do it? I did it by trial and error, but finally got it, lol.
