Hi guys,
I've never really thought about what I wanted to do in the future until recently. For the past few days, I've been reading about engineering and possible pathways. I'm mostly interested in chemical and biomolecular engineering. I also think that I'm capable of getting a high enough ATAR (90-91) to get into the course. So after this, I've been talking to some engineers that I know of, and both of these men have told me to pursue a career in another field because apparently it's 'there aren't many jobs in Melbourne for engineering'.
Is this true?
Both of these men have graduated from overseas, so I'm wondering if they are only saying this because they hard time finding a job.
Some other questions I have in regard to engineering;
- Do you have to be really good in maths/ is the maths difficult?
- How is the course like?
Thank you!
